Giving up dieting doesn't mean giving up on yourself
You are smart. You know and feel it, yet you still can't stop shaming self-talk and damaging behaviors with your food.

And still, the obsession continues. Your primary fight in life is your weight and body. Seems silly, but it is true.

Don't confuse giving up dieting and restricting with giving up on yourself.
Self-Compassion doesn't mean you are Giving up. It does mean you are giving up binge-eating, body shaming, emotional eating, and negative self-talk.

And yet, this fight has little to do with the food. It is a deeper issue. When we stop the negative food behavior by willpower or force alone, it leaves us nowhere to turn but back to the food. When we lovingly see the behavior as a coping mechanism that needs attention, emotional care, and support, we not only stop using food, we can heal ourselves of deeper issues.
This takes PATIENCE. COURAGE. SUPPORT.
It is easy to blame our issues on food and shame ourselves for our lack of willpower.
A warrior's journey is to stand up for ourselves and lean into love.
It is a spiritual journey that takes intention, support, and willingness to do things differently.
